March 19th Sunday :
Two Bridges Training Walk. Start time 10:00am.
Meet at 10:00am, PetroCanada, 506 Hillsborough Road, Riverview.
Two laps around the Mill Creek Riverview area, 10k per lap.
Grippers not required( individual choice ) .
Participants can join one or two laps
Location: To be announced.
Rating: Moderate-Strenuous.

Upcoming Weekend Hike – March 18 Saturday and 19 Sunday (3/16/2023)

March 18 Saturday :
Sentier de l’École in Grande-Digue
Distance 10km.   Rating: Easy – Moderate.
Meet at 12:00pm at Irving, 64 Champlain Street, Dieppe or at 12:30PM in the parking lot of École Grande-Digue, 365 Route 530, Grande-Digue.
We will be parking at the school, near the playground., where Maureen will meet the group and our trek will commence there.
Spring commences on March 20 so let’s usher out winter by snowshoeing 10 km on a flat trail that winds through beautiful Acadian forest from Grande-Digue to St. Marcel and back.
We won’t be eating lunch on the trail but will certainly take water and snack breaks.
Following our trek, all are cordially invited to the home of Bob and Maureen Wallace, 2317 Route 530, Grande-Digue for some Kent County hospitality in the form of baked beans (some will contain pork and some will be vegetarian) and brown bread.

Thursday Social Walk – 16th March (3/14/2023)

Meeting place @ YMCA on Twin Oaks for 6:00pm.  
Easy 7km 
Walk will be no longer than 1.5h. 
Contact Solange at 227-8052. 

Walk down the Northwest Trail up to Augusta Terrace where we will join up to Ryan Road. A bit muddy road, please come prepared.

If there is enough interest, I can find out about booking a quick visit into Codiac Organics where we can buy farm fresh eggs. 

Indicate( via phone/facebook comments) if visit to Codiac is of interest by Wednesday night at 9:00pm so I can try to make arrangements. 

* Headlamps are highly recommended *

Parlee Brook/Friars Nose – Hike (3/10/2023)

For all attending our hike on Saturday, March 11 to Parlee Brook and Friar’s Nose, please note that ice grippers are very much a requirement for solid footing. Snow shoes are not a requirement, however, they may be beneficial for solid footing when in the amphitheater. For those traveling solo, please park your vehicle on the Glebe Road and jump in with others hikers to ensure there is sufficient parking at the trailhead.

Meet at Centennial Park by Dog Park at 10:00AM or Parlee Brook Rd at 11:00AM. For any questions, please contact Kevin at  506-871-4457.
