DESCRIPTION:Greetings all\, I will be doing two shorter hikes On Saturday the 12th\, one in Mapleton eco trail which is a beautiful 3.5 Km. wooded trial up and down through an Acadian forest. When we leave there\, we go to Petitcodiac and walk through the village and down a trail to the birthplace of the Petitcodiac River and back. We will try and meet up with the biking group at the Cornhill Nursery to partake in their delicious wood oven fired pizza and perhaps an ale. Total kilometres on both hikes would be about 8. Could be a fun day. Meet time is at 10:00AM at the dog park in Centennial Park or the Irving gas station\, 16 Smith St\, Petitcodiac\, NB E4Z 4W1\, the second exit to Petitcodiac at 10:30-45. SUMMARY:Mary's Point - Sunrise Hike
DESCRIPTION:Greetings MOEs\, I will be leading the annual sunrise hike around the Mary’s Point peninsula on Saturday morning the 26th September. Full moon in the morning rising in the west while the sun is rising in the east. I have had up to 30 people attend this spectacular show. The sun will light up the dormant lantern room of the lighthouse from behind (not been functioning since 1985). It is a truly spectacular scene to behold. Meet time at Fox Field\, 893 Hillsborough Rd\, Riverview\, NB for 5:15AM departure and at 6:10 AM sharp at the junction of rte 114 and 915 in Riverside/Albert across from the store/gas/bar liquor emporium. Distance about 8 to 10 kms. There is some bouldering to be done on this hike\, so take note of that.
