We will be hosted by the legendary Terri McCulloch who will lead us on a beach hike next to the powerful tidal waters of the Minas Basin. This hike rated as moderate for most and will include some road walking on a lonely road with sensational views to be had. DESCRIPTION:I will put on a hike on the Fundy Trail Parkway on Sat. June 8th. This will involve moving cars. 10 kms. along the Fundy Coast. Rated moderate to strenuous depending on the heat\, which should be moderate along the coast. This is the original and manicured trail\, so no roots rocks etc. The beach is beautiful and Fuller Falls should be flowing powerfully. \nMeet time at Fox Field at 9:00 or 10:00 at FNP Info Centre where we will leave and go through the park to the Fundy Trail access road just after leaving the park. There will be an admission charge which is less if we have at least 12 for a group rate. The alternate route would be to go to Sussex Corner and by Adair’s\, but we need to arrive at the same time if we are 12 to get the rate.\nBetter call Paul 506-588-3034.

SUMMARY:Irishtown Park Walk and Magnetic Hill Winery Visit
DESCRIPTION:Hike for this Sunday the 4th of September. Hike in Irishtown park with a visit to the gorgeous Magnetic Hill winery after. Hike about 6 kms. then off to the winery. If you have not been to the winery it is absolutely gorgeous (3 tiered patio) and the wine is delicious. They have charcuterie boards for sale and the views are really impressive.. This winery is where one of our members (Brian Coyle) has constructed many of the fine wooden structures that adorn this property. Hike rated easy. Meet time at 1:00 at Irishtown Park parking lot. Call Paul @ 588-3034

SUMMARY:Hearst Lodge Trail on the Fundy Parkway
DESCRIPTION:The hike on Saturday the 27th August is to the Hearst Lodge on the Fundy Trail parkway. No need to move cars\, it is a loop. The hike is along the beautiful river in the cool shaded forest for about 3 kms. to a lodge once owned by Sir William Randolph Hearst (yes that William Randolph Hearst). The distance is not great about 7 Kms return\, but it is not easy and there is one long steep hill. We will lunch by the river in front of the lodge. We may see salmon in the pool in front of the lodge. Rated moderate to strenuous. We can visit the amazing new two lane covered bridge after the hike. Meet time is 9:00 at The Centennial Outdoor Center on St. George Blvd. or at the Fundy Park headquarters at 10:15 where we will proceed together to the East Gate of the Parkway where if we have at least 12 I have arranged for a discounted admission fee. \nCall Paul at 506-588-3034.

SUMMARY:Hike the Marsh near Sackville
DESCRIPTION:The hike will be a MODERATE 8 TO 10 kMS\, It will start in Westcock (Sackville area) and be a rural/urban walk for a short time then out on to the dykes and marsh overlooking quaint hay barns (one is particularly picturesque)\, with Fort Beausejour and the wind turbines in Amherst in the distance. We hike the dykes where we will no doubt see lots of bird life at this time of year and end up on a most secluded beach where we will dine while sitting on well positioned boulders. Weather is scheduled (by me and the weather network) to be sunny and 12 degrees with light to moderate breezes.  Meet time is 10:00 at the Irving on Champlain at Paul St. or at 10:30 at the McDonalds in Sackville (at the end of the ramp on the first exit).  Paul @ 588-3034.
