Saturday March 5th, Hike to the Parlee Brook Falls (location of Ice Wall) and Friar’s Nose, off the Parlee Brook Rd. near Poley Mt. Strenuous, 8 km. Bring snowshoes and ice grippers. Meet at Centennial Park by Dog Park at 10: 00 am or Parlee Brook Rd at 11:00am. Contact Kevin at 871-4457.
Shediac to Point Du Chene
An outing for Sunday March 6th. Shediac to Point Du Chene roughly 10 Kms. Shediac to Parlee beach then the wharf, then past the fishing shacks and back to cars. Lunch at Parlee Beach (if you bring one) on the benches next to the restaurant.No shoes required, but bring grippers.Highlights are 1. Might see Dorine maybe even Phil the Florida boy. 2. See mansion 3. Walk on sandy beach 4. Eat next to sandy beach 5. See New Brunswick’s most visited wharf (by far) 6. See the whimsical ice shanties and possibly the lonely forlorn people who inhabit them and finally 7. Spend time with witty, intelligent, personable like minded people (if you exclude Julian and me).
