Please find details for upcoming hikes on June 8 & 9, Hike Planning Meeting on June 12th, details on PEI Hiking weekend, and volunteers required for 2025 Board of Directors.

June 8 2024 Third Vault Falls/Kinnie Brook

Hike Third Vault Falls in Fundy National Park. 7.4km return.  Hike will be at a moderate pace with rest stops.  Trail is rated as Moderate with steep descent to falls.  Enjoy lunch at the base of the falls. Following return to vehicles, drive ~3.7km to Kinnie Brook Trailhead parking ().  Kinnie Brook trail is a well-maintained trail leading through the calm and pleasant woods as it approaches Kinnie Brook. Wooden stairways lead down to the waterway and a nice viewpoint. Moderate pace on trail rated as Easy.  Meet at the Fox Field (Baseball field) at 893 Hillsborough Road, Riverview at 9:00AM or a Fundy Park Headquarters at 10:00AM. Sunday, June 9 2024 Tidnish Dock Walking Trail

Walk on the remains of 1880’s mega project to connect Amherst to the Northumberland Strait with a railway to transport small cargo ships.  Distance of 8km.  Easy.  Meet at Irving Station, 64 Champlain Street, Dieppe,  at 10:00AM, or at Port Elgin Shell, 42 Shemogue Rd, Port Elgin, at 10:45AM.  Bring water and a light lunch. Anyone interested in leading a MOE event, learning to lead, have an interested in organizing events, or want to become more involved in our club, please join us as we fill in our calendar for July, August, and September.
