Upcoming weekend MOE Hikes February Saturday and Sunday 24-25

Saturday : Feb 24th : Midland Ice Caves and Sussex Bluffs
Midland Ice Caves and Sussex Bluffs
Two Hikes … Choose ONE… or Chose BOTH…

  1. MIDLAND ICE CAVES.  Hike to the fascinating Midland Ice Caves near Norton, NB.   Moderate hike – approximately 5km – 2 hours.   Ice Grippers/Crampons/Cleats are a MUST.      9:00AM… Meet at Centennial Park – Dog Park lot – 61 Rotary Lodge Ln, Moncton, NB.  Second meeting location – Norton One Stop – 19 Route 124, Norton, NB (Exit 175)
  2. SUSSEX BLUFFS.
    Easy hike – approximately 5km – 2 hours. Hike to the first two bluffs…. A spectacular view over the rolling hills of Dutch Valley.  Ice Grippers/Crampons/Cleats are a recommended.
  3. For participants only doing Sussex Bluffs, meet time is 12:00NOON – at Centennial Park – Dog Park lot – 61 Rotary Lodge Ln, Moncton, NB for ride sharing or at 1:00PM at Parking Lot at end of Sullivan Drive, Sussex.

Sunday : Feb 25th : Sentier Pluriel
Hike on the Sentiers Pluriel in Grande-Digue for 2-3 hours. 
After our hike, all are cordially invited chez Bob and Maureen for a baked beans and brown bread supper. 
The trail has some icy areas so ice grippers are strongly recommended. Meet at 12:30PM at the Irving at 64 Champlain St., Dieppe or at 1:00PM at 43 Grande-Digue Road, Grande-Digue. Please carpool as the lot is not large. Maureen will meet the group in Grande-Digue. 
There will be a one day post full moon moonrise at 7:13 pm that evening. Anyone who wants to stay later to enjoy a beautiful moonrise over the water is welcome to stay on for that.
