Updates

MOE Earth Day Clean up (4/19/2024)

Our Earth Day Clean up efforts are still a go for Saturday, April 20.

Clean up in Riverview will be moved up to 9:00AM to get as much cleaned up before the impending rain.

Looking forward to a large turnout for this valuable service to our local area.

Friday Hike with Ted ! April 19th (4/18/2024)

Hike a portion of the Dobson trail starting at Smith road and then on through to Baltimore area
Hike part of the Dobson trail starting at Smith road.  Meeting place at 10:00 am  at 2nd entrance of the Dobson Trail Head (633 Pine Glen Rd., Riverview, NB).  Bring lunch/snack and water.

Please join Brian Foster as Moncton Outdoor Enthusiasts participate in Earth Day clean up of Fox Field Parking Lot and the access trail to Mill Creek Nature Park.  Meet at Fox Field, 893 Hillsborough Rd, Riverview, NB at 10:00AM.   Bring lunch and water.   Garbage bags provided.  Gloves provided.  Bring your own gloves if you have them.  In case of rain, meet at same location at 11:00AM on Sunday.

Weekend MOE scheduled hikes April 13-14 (4/11/2024)

Saturday 13th Mary’s Point : Hike around the Mary’s Point Islands.  Moderate 10 km.

Saturday’s hike around Mary’s Point.
New meeting time at Fox Field is 9:00.
Secondary meeting place at the junction of 114 and 915 in Riverside at the Old Bank Museum at 9:45.

Please note that there are slippery uneven rocks to go over on this hike, apart from that this is a moderate hike.
Weather looks positively balmy with showers possible starting at 2:00. We will be finished before 2:00.

April 14 Humphrey Brook Trail
Walk the Humphrey Brook Trail from Mill Rd. to Harrisville Blvd. and return. Easy, 9 km.  Meet at the corner of Mill Rd and Martin St. at 10:00 am. Contact Elizabeth at 383-1853.

Sunday, April 7-Cape Jourimain (4/6/2024)

Hike at Cape Jourimain is a go for Sunday, April 7. Some adjustments “may” need to be made. See the fixed link up close and personal, see a beautiful restored lighthouse, a beautiful sand beach with dunes, a forest trail where Blue Herons nest high above in the trees. Meet at Irving – 64 Champlain Blvd, Dieppe at 10:00AM or at Cape Jourimain Interpretitive Center – 5039 NB-16, Bayfield, NB at 11:00AM. Contact Paul at 506-381-0397.
