Where: Mount Carleton Provincial Park
When: Saturday August 16th to Sunday August 24th (incl. travel days)
As discussed at the Annual Meeting, we will be camping at Armstrong Campground in Mount Carleton Provincial Park for the 2025 MOE Camping trip. There is not much to do at this point other than mark the dates on your calendar and if necessary schedule your vacation days. The first action will be for you to reserve campsites or cabins when the Provincial Parks reservation system opens. If you wish to rent a cabin rather than stay in the campground, look at the website in advance as the cabins are in two locations and range in occupancy from 2 to 12 people. Reservations typically open in late winter / early spring and I will notify you of the date.
The activity schedule for the week will depend on the number of participants and their interests. On most days there will be more than one activity. Besides the trails within the park we could go to Sugarloaf Park in Campbellton for a day or do a section of the Nepisiguit trail.
There will be one or more canoe/kayak activities included so plan to take your canoe/kayak with you.

MOE Christmas Holiday Party
Who: All Moncton Outdoor Enthusiasts! Inc. members and their partners (we’re sharing the holiday cheer, not just the trails!)
When: Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 4–7 PM
Where: Clubhouse – 80 Mount Pleasant Road, Moncton
Pro tip: Park on the street. The clubhouse lot is for Santa’s sleigh.
Why: Because what’s better than friends, food, fun, and gifts? (Answer: Nothing.)
Potluck:
• Your board is handling dessert (you’re welcome).
• Please bring an appetizer or main course, or risk a room full of desserts.
• Don’t forget your beverage of choice – eggnog, anyone?
Green Gift Exchange:
• Bring something you already have but don’t need (or secretly want to get rid of). Options include:
• A gently used item,
• A regift,
• A thrifty treasure,
• Something homemade (we’ll be impressed),
• Or a local gem.
• The only rule: No shopping sprees. This is guilt-free gifting at its best.
Once everyone has a gift, the real fun begins with three exciting draws to “trade gifts or score a free membership.”
RSVP by December 4th
Email Maureen Wallace at wallacemaureenk@gmail.com (she’s nice, we promise).
Join us to laugh, eat, and maybe even discover the perfect “new-to-you” treasure. Don’t miss out!
